About MITCAT

MIT College of Agriculture and Technology, established in 2019 by The Swamy Ayyappan Educational Trust, Musiri under affiliation to Tamil Nadu Agricultural University.

We are situated at Vellalappatti, Musiri, Tiruchirappalli district, in the Musiri to Thuraiyur main road. We offer 4 years B.Sc Program in Agriculture and 2 years Diploma in Agriculture and Horticulture.

Our institution sprawling over 110 acres of land with scenic landscape, laid out with a foresight to create a unique learning environment. The college is setup with state-of-the-art instructional and infrastructural facilities. The main forte of the college is its well experienced, erudite and committed faculty members.

Our Philosophy

The Institution is established with an objective of imparting quality education along with the requisite personality traits and thereby to carve young Indians into dynamic and most talented persons in their domain matching the needs of the contemporary industries of agriculture.

MIT College of Agriculture and Technology has been set with a mission to meet the growing demand for Agro-based food production globally across India and the world using the latest technology in food production.With the increased demand for well-trained farm scientists to translate the latest technologies into reality in sustainable food, feed, fibre and fuel (biomass) production, we are focused in building smart agriculture professionals to meet the current and future food demands.

Thus, MIT College of Agriculture and Technology aims at creating agricultural graduates with latest technology and inputs to create Green Revolution all over.

Campus Infrastructure

At MITCAT, our campus has spacious play grounds and encourages sports such as cricket, basket-ball, football, volleyball, throw ball etc., our institute has well furnished hostel for both Boys and Girls within the campus. The College provides transport facility from Musiri for day-scholars.

The Lush Green area and the peaceful environment of the campus helps in the mental strength, growth and physical fitness of the students. It’s a remarkable combination of harmonious ambience with perfect infrastructure.

MITCAT does have a large and highly mechanized farm sprawling over an area of 110 acres.  Apart from annual agronomic crops grown in the farm like rice, mesta, pulses etc, there are orchards of mango, sapota, guava, coconut and cashew.  The water requirement of the farm is met by Ground water.
