Grievance Redressal Cell

An essential component of every administration is the Grievance Redressal System. The administration of the college is in charge of giving all of its staffs and students a safe and happy work environment. In accordance with UGC standards, the MIT College of Agriculture and Technology has established a Grievance Redressal Committee to address issues from both staffs and students. The Principal has had direct control over the Committee ever.

The complaints that the Principal receives are sent to the relevant Committee members, who investigate the issues based on the seriousness.

Duties of Grievance Redressal Committee (GRC)

  • To take formal grievances about the college atmosphere from staff and students
  • GRC shall consider redressing of grievances within a reasonable period
  •  The GRC will give report to the management about the cases attended and seek guidance from the management if required
  •  To monitor the cases at regular intervals until their resolution
  •  GRC should uphold strict confidentiality as required
  • To maintain integrity of the college by making sure there is no conflict there and by encouraging friendly interactions between students and staffs
  • To represent the complaints to the relevant section this may include issues with academics, transportation, amenities, maintenance, etc.
  • To conduct regular meetings to discuss whether or not the complaints have been resolved

How to file a complaint:

  1. Students may feel free to file grievances in writing or using the forms that has been provided by the administrative department and to deposit them in the grievances boxes
  2. Issues that are forwarded with the necessary documents will be handled by the Grievance Cell
  3. The Grievance Cell should assure that the grievance has been properly solved within the stipulated time
  4. The students can also lodge their grievances through E-mail: [email protected]
